A retrocompatibilidade já há muito que é uma das bandeiras da Xbox enquanto marca, a possibilidade de entregar aos jogadores, nas suas novas consolas, os jogos que se habituaram a jogar em gerações passadas. E isso não mudou com a chegada com as Xbox Series X | S.
Durante o evento que celebra os 20 anos da marca, para além de anunciar o início da primeira temporada de Halo Infinite Multiplayer, a Xbox aproveitou para anunciar que as consolas da família Xbox One e Xbox Series X | S vão receber mais 76 jogos através de retroncompatibilidade.

Para além das novidades já apresentadas, a marca revelou ainda que no dia 13 de dezembro chega, a várias plataformas de stream, a série documental “Power On – The Story of Xbox“. Uma viagem à origem e história da marca dividida em 6 episódios.
